Our facilities are designed to offer a friendly atmosphere to create a community among travelers. It is common to see our guests enjoying a sunny day in our pool while having a drink, sharing a meal with other travelers while talking about their travel adventures, playing a board game, or watching a movie in the TV room.
We offer 24-hour reception, but we do not have a fixed schedule for our receptionists. Therefore, we arrange our staff schedule based on our reservations. Please, let us know your check-in time in advance here. When you make your reservation, you will receive a message with the online check-in form.

Marc Eich: Had a lovely stay at Nucapacha‘s. The staff is very friendly and helpful. Breakfast is nice and changes daily, they use regional products.Wifi in the Lobby is very fast. The rooms are ok for the price. There‘s no hot water in the shower bit since the outside temperature didn‘t go below 25C we disn‘t need it anyway. No AC but a big fan in the room. The pool is also nice to cool down.Getting to the city is quite easy, by bus 10-15min paying 0.30$ per person.

Allison the Lizard: Hostel refused to book me a taxi for 3 hours before my flight to the Galapagos. They only let me book the taxi for 2 hours before, making me late and almost missing boarding the flight.
Nicola Lopez-Rabkin: A nice hostel with friendly staff. I ended up having to stay an extra night than my reservation and they were happy to add another night tho I understandably had to change rooms. Nothing fancy and could do with a bit of renovations. There’s a kitchen where you can make your own food and a nice outside area with a pool. They have a dog that lives there that sometimes barks at night which was a bit disturbing (my original room faced the street). An economical place to stay in Guayaquil for young travelers. I’ll probably stay here again next time I come.

Maria: Strange place. The reception woman tried to get rid of me as quickly as possible, half way out of the door while I was still asking questions. The room was not very clean, the bed sheets too. People chatting in the pool outside the room late. More of a motel feel without the cosiness. Next time would spend more money and stay in one of the real hotels nearby.

The rooms are spacious and comfortable and the place has a friendly and social vibe but is also quiet and serene. The location is very convenient to the airport and Maria will assist with arranging transportation. I really enjoyed my stay here.

Kathryn Samai (Kat): Villa Maria is absolutely the best place you can possibly stay in Guayaquil! We cannot say enough how wonderful our visit was and how lovely of a space she created in her unique and cute Guesthouse. Additionally, Maria adds a special touch that makes you feel like family with a welcome drink and she even checked on us multiple times when we had to spend the night at the hospital due to an unexpected emergent surgery. Lovely place, well equipped, comfortable, and affordable.

I enjoyed chatting to her and her husband about various things and they even took me on a short tour of the city.I will definitely stay here next time I am in Guayaquil.

You can access the pool from the 1st floor patio through stairs to the ground floor. Overall great experience.

Lolita Delgado: We were at the buffet breakfast on Sunday Father's Day, it was full because there was a bus of guests all having breakfast at the hotel. All very tasty, variety, humitas, quipes, onion, a delight, special apple juice, celery, and watermelon juice. Here I point out an observation for the hotel, they took a long time to refill the jugs with these juices.They must provide the date and number of guests in the hotel.

Leiya Dobson: We spent 3 nights at The Park Hotel over Easter weekend and would definitely recommend it.Location is great, with the parque seminario right across the street (park known for its iguanas and where the tourist double decker departs) and within easy walking distance to the Malecón 2000. Restaurants and street food is also easily accessible. Its location also makes it easy to grab a taxi or Uber to check out other areas in Guayaquil such as Parque Historico.It would help to know some Spanish when visiting Guayaquil, however you can always use a translation app to help.The room was simple and clean, with good A/C and a comfortable bed. The shower didn’t seem to have hot water, although a cool shower after activities in the Guayaquil heat was welcome. It could get loud sometimes with the Parque seminario right across the street, especially since there were Easter celebrations being held. However, this did not bother us.The service at The Park Hotel was also notable - very friendly and helpful. The hotel will also help with organizing a pickup and drop off at the airport via taxi, where you pay the hotel directly. Although, might be good to check pricing of Uber as it can be cheaper. They also provided us recommendations and advised on best walking routes in the evening. The hotel front doors were also locked at certain hours, however the hotel staff was always there to let us in. We felt safe throughout our trip.
Enrique Almeida: The hotel is very good, very good breakfast and rooms that could be improved, but okay.The negative of the hotel is that the 2 times that I stayed, the bellboys and the driver who was taking us argued heatedly for the place to park and not go down in double file.One night, the noise of drilling and hammering from a construction site was heard until after 11:30 p.m., which I considered disrespectful.
