Location (700m/10mins walk from the airport, nearby is a huge supermarket), room has a huge (like 70") SmartTV, internet is fast and reliable, hot shower, lots of space, and check-in went smooth. Merve Çağa: Had a nice 2 nights stay at this place. Alejandro was very attentive and friendly receptionist. The room is big enough with a kitchen that has fridge, microwave etc. The shower has hot water. It was overall very clean as well. Both the bus terminal and the airport is 5 mins drive away. And the area has big supermarket, some restaurants and shops around. We felt completely safe in the area.
Volker Block: Unser Zimmer war sauber und ruhig. Es lag nach hinten mit Blick über den Pool zum Park. Praktische Nähe zum Supermaxi, Bad, Bett und Küche gut und preiswert.
Lolita Rivera: The place has a beautiful and interesting architecture, the suite is equipped with everything, microwave, fridge, coffee maker. But the person in charge of the keys and the door provides a lousy service. They don't answer the front door and they don't give you a key to enter, the pool is not clean and the manager's wife has a very bad character.

The upstairs porch is a great spot to read a book and relax. Maria is incredibly friendly and helpful and goes out of her way to help guests. The rooms are spacious and comfortable and the place has a friendly and social vibe but is also quiet and serene. The location is very convenient to the airport and Maria will assist with arranging transportation. I really enjoyed my stay here.

Kathryn Samai (Kat): Villa Maria is absolutely the best place you can possibly stay in Guayaquil! We cannot say enough how wonderful our visit was and how lovely of a space she created in her unique and cute Guesthouse. Additionally, Maria adds a special touch that makes you feel like family with a welcome drink and she even checked on us multiple times when we had to spend the night at the hospital due to an unexpected emergent surgery. Lovely place, well equipped, comfortable, and affordable.
Yuvrraj Narrayan: I spent 2 wonderful days at Maria’s guest house. It is a family run guest house and is decorated in a very nice and cosy manner. I would highly recommend the breakfast omelette. I enjoyed chatting to her and her husband about various things and they even took me on a short tour of the city.I will definitely stay here next time I am in Guayaquil.

We asked for more green colored sauce, they were slow to deliver and they gave us the wrong one.
