The road to cuenca is abandoned, dangerous& landslides as well dangerously scary embankments and drops. Your stomach will turn. Also our driver was texting and driving. And he almost crashed trying to save the life of a turtle. Now i understand, i love animals and i would try to save it. But to almost swerve and fall off a 8,000 ft embankment to try to save a turtle is crazy.

Alyssa Theisen: We hired the shuttle to bring us from Cuenca to Guayaquil. After driving for 15 minutes we were pulled over by the police. After checking for the proper paperwork (which the driver did not have) they had the driver step out of the vehicle and questioned him. When he got back in he asked everyone in the shuttle not to say anything to the police if they questioned us, but if they asked how much we paid to tell them $150. We chose not to lie and were honest with the police that we only paid $12 and were heading to the airport. The police were very kind informed us that the driver and shuttle were not registered hence the vehicle was being towed. We had to wait while a new van and driver came. Long story short, we missed our original flight and had to rebook at over 6x the price. We were hoping to company would work with us to compensate us for the flights, but unfortunately they are not. DO NOT TAKE THIS SHUTTLE.
