Hello World: A lot of hats made locally. They demonstrate how it made. You can find any price range and any type hats here. Pity they don’t negotiate price as we wanted buy that super fino hat. We didn’t like the guard at the entry asks for tips, what for ?

Mr B: Taken to Ecua Andino as part of a tour. Was shown one worker demonstrating how they made a Panama hat. One day to make the cheapest hat, several months for the more expensive. Shown hats inside, varying from USD55 upwards. Slightly better quality from USD90 but I could still see light through the gaps of the weaving. Many hundreds of dollars could be easily spent. Slight hassle from 'security' as I left. They quickly check you have a receipt for any hat you're carrying (fair enough) but then point you towards their tip jar.
Giuli VC: The attention of the lady who charges at the cash desk is the best, and the hats are a lot of variety and all of them are so cute that you don't know which one to choose
