Andy Lee: Booked a group tour with Rony. He was an amazing tour guide. We went through dirt roads with beautiful scenery. It was both culturally immersive and an exciting energetic riding experience. We visited local’s homes where they cooked snacks and drinks for us. Food was delicious! We stopped several times for very nice pictures to remember the ride and even got to take a boat ride with the bikes on the river! I would definitely add this experience to your trip in Ecuador.

El almuerzo buenísimo también, verdadera cocina ecuatoriana. El tour incluye traslado desde y hacia el hotel y dura unas 5 horas. Super recomendable.

Stefanie Staab: Wouldn't recommend the $69 tour. The value for money is not correct.The tour for 69 dollars per person does not worth it.The guide was partly unprofessional. We paid $140 for two people. According to the guide, we should get the change right away. It never came.When we were in the coffee house, I ordered a coffee. When I wanted to pay, he came over and ordered something for himself. He addressed the saleswoman directly past me while I was standing next to her and had it added to my bill. In the end it turned out to be coffee sweets that we should try. I like to buy things on recommendation, just the way of simply ordering something and assuming I'll pay for it without having spoken to me is unprofessional and rude. A simple sentence like "I can recommend the coffee sweets, just buy a pack to try." Would have been perfectly sufficient before.At the end of the tour he recommended us a snack bar that sold roast pork sandwiches. I couldn't shake the feeling that he expected us to invite him, which my friend kindly did. Before that he had mentioned several times that tourists had invited him to eat and drink.The extra money we paid wasn't much. What bothered me more was the expectation and the audacity.After the description of the tour, we assumed that we will also try traditional dishes from Guayaquil and get to know the district of las Peñas properly and accordingly climb the 444 steps. Unfortunately neither was part of the tour. Since the description is misleading, it should be adjusted or made more precise.My recommendation:Just do the tip-based free walking tour.
Sheila Heath: I confirmed the tour the morning of and the company gave me the contact information of the guide. I showed up to the meeting spot at the specified time (14h00) and messaged the guide after waiting for a few minutes. He said that he was not informed that there was someone on the tour and he said he could probably meet up with us in an hour. We did not feel comfortable just waiting around in downtown Guayaquil for an hour for the guide to possibly show up so I told him to just cancel it. It was quite disappointing that I was told a time and place to show up, spent money on a taxi there and that there was no one there. Would not recommend.
